Scouts possible events/camps 2013

As well as our summer camp to Norway next year there are a few other Scout events coming up  next year, that due to their nature we will need to book / register for quite soon.
and as such we would like to know the levels of interest for each event/camp, thanks.

These are

Activation 2013 8th and 9th June 2013  either Saturday or Sunday – most likely to be Saturday the 8th
at Carsington Water, Just for - Scouts and Explorers.
A weekend of activities. The County Active Support Teams have laid on 2 days of Activities, These are two separate one day events, book which day suits you, turn up, have fun and go home.
Climbing, Sailing, Caving, Kiting/Mountain Boarding, Target Shooting, GeoCaching, Mountain Biking, Crate Stacking, Survival Skills and Canoeing
Cost will be £15 per day and includes 3 Activities.

Alton towers Camp 15-16th June 2013 :
Arrive at Alton towers theme park on Saturday evening, set up camp inside the theme park, evening meal, followed by two hours exclusive use of the water park,
back to the theme park for some supper, then bed, and all day Sunday in the Theme park to enjoy the rides+ make use of Early ride time ( some rides will open for us 1 hour before the public opening time )  Estimated cost for this £61 per Scout.

Air Experience Weekend – October/November 2013
After leaving the Scout hut in Melbourne we will travel down to Cambridge gliding centre where after a full safety briefing the Scouts will take to the skies
in a small aircraft with a fully qualified instructor.
Once at a suitable altitude the Scouts will then have the opportunity to take the controls and perform a few basic manoeuvres using the control stick ( and possibly the rudder pedals)   for those who have been before, they will have the opportunity to build upon any skills learnt previously, after the flight ( lasting roughly 20/25 minutes) and while waiting the Scouts may have the opportunity to help the ground crew – under supervision. This is followed up by an overnight Stay at the gliding centre, evening meal, and then onto Imperial War museum at Duxford on the Sunday before returning back to Melbourne on Sunday evening. Estimated cost roughly £70-£75 ( will be confirmed later)

Fundraising for Norway
We are now carrying out some fundraising for our Norway Camp in 2013, and as part of this we are doing  a few Christmas car washes,
open from 10am-1pm on Sundays: 2nd December, and 16th December.
We have also teamed up with an online fund-raiser, Easy fundraising.org.uk who will donate money to 1st Melbourne Scouts towards our Norway camp
every time you buy something online. All we ask you to do is to please visit the website below before buying  anything online:

Megazone 2012 -  on top of all the above we also need to know who is coming to Megazone on the 12th of December, we are aware that the event clashes with a School play, and as such it would also be helpful to know who is not going to be coming  thanks.
