Alton towers camp 2017

Alton towers camp: please bring suncream+hot weather gear as the weather is expected to be hot and sunny, and we will be out in the sun all day on Sunday, also dont forget a re-fillable drinks bottle

District Hike Camp

District Hiking Challenge: 1^st -3^rd July 2016 Cost per Scout £10.

A weekend of Walking from/to the various Scout Hqs in South Derbyshire

Meeting at Repton Scout HQ , Mitre Drive Repton (DE65 6FJ ) at 6pm on Friday the 1^st of July the pick up point being Repton Scout HQ again on Sunday at 1pm (approximately )

Scouts start back again after the Christmas/New years break this Wednesday ( 6th Jan) the following week (13th)  we are on a walk meeting slightly earlier at 7pm, and possibly finishing slightly later.

please ensure that suitable clothing for the weather is worn

Scouts Megazone

On Wednesday the 9th we are meeting at Megazone in Derby at  7:10pm, and finishing just before 9pm (8:50 approx)  Megazone Derby is located at:
 Willows road sports centre, 
1 Willow Row
Derby, Derbyshire

Its recommended that Scouts bring a drink with them, or money for  drink/snacks
 


Using a sat nav? 
 If you are using a sat nav with up to date mapping it may be unable to find the main postcode, as Willows road has been pedestrianised. Instead head towards Bold lane car park DE1 3NT - Also signposted as "Parksafe"

December information

Christmas Car wash:

we have the opportunity to run a Christmas car wash at the Scout hut on A  Saturday from 10am-1pm, if any Scouts/parents can help then please let me know ( will ask on Wednesday)

Dovedale Hike Sunday 13th December Parents+Scouts

A District Scout hike has been organised meeting at Dovedale car park sunday at 10am (

A Packed lunch/flask with Hot/warm drink and suitable clothing ( ie warm clothes/waterproofs/walking boots) are required, Numbers going required by this Wednesday 2nd December

Stamp and Deliver

Last week, Stamp and deliver stamps were handed out, the money for the stamps and/or any unsold stamps must be returned before we finish for Christmas

This week we will be outside cooking on fires, please bring some suitable clothing / footwear.

Also if not already replied to the megazone letter we need to know numbers by this Wednesday (I will be going to pay the deposit this weekend

 

Scout hike, Dovedale 13th December

A District Scout hike has been organised on Sunday the 13th of December, meeting at Dovedale car park.

A Packed lunch/flask with Hot/warm drink and suitable clothing ( ie warm clothes/waterproofs/walking boots) are required.

This week (7^th October)

We are meeting at the Scout hut for a walk, and not Ticknall as previously advised (returning back to the Scout hut) please wear suitable clothing/footwear+ bring a torch.

The Conker night will now take place on the 21^st of October please bring as many pre-drilled conkers as possible, please check your email for more information

Scouts back after the summer

Hope youve had/having a good Summer, Scouts start back again on Wednesday the 9th of September.

Amongst a few other things, one of the things we are looking into will be another Air activities weekend/flying lesson/trip to IWM Duxford, at the moment we are looking at November ( subject to availability and weather) At the moment this needs to be booked soon in the next few weeks, depending upon interest ( we need 8 Scouts to make this viable and we can only take 8 Scouts )if interested please get in touch via email

Rosliston

On Wednesday the 15^th of July we are meeting at Rosliston Forestry centre for a game of laser tag in the woodland.

starting at 6:50pm and finishing at 9pm ( pick up and drop off at the site.

This will be the last meeting before the summer holidays

The cost for this is £4.00

Widegame 17th June

This Week (17th June ) we are meeting at Melbourne Pool, by the Parish Church at 7:15pm for a wide game in the intake woods, Scouts should wear suitable clothing/footwear ( it could be wet/muddy in places )

we will be finishing just after 9:15pm, pick up from the Parish church
