Night Hike

Scout Night hike this weekend : meet Saturday 8pm, at the Scout hut pick up Sunday 10am at the Scout hut, cost £2.50

 

Suggested Kit list - please note that any Scouts with unsuitable clothing/footwear, or any other unsuitable kit will not be permitted to take part at the discretion of the leaders.

 

Overnight at the Scout hut	For the Night Hike
Sleeping bag roll\carry\foam mat ( to sleep on) indoor shoes change of clothing wash kit	Walking boots+suitable socks Waterproof top waterproof trousers Warm top\spare tshirt Warm Hat gloves small personal first aid kit any medication required Whistle torch+spare batteries etc Flask, with a hot drink inside Water bottle, with a cold drink inside Snacks ( ie chocolate etc) pen+paper
Jeans and other such trousers are not suitable to walk in Please do not bring Mobile Phones, or any other electronic devices

Scouts up to 1/2 Term

Over the next few weeks we will be starting on an airfix project, Each Scout will need to bring a shoebox this week in order to store the partialy completed airfix models in over the next few weeks. any extra shoeboxes will also be appreciated as there is bound to be a few who forget, thanks.

Also can we please have the contact/information forms back as soon as possible as well as the summer camp forms back (Tolmers 2014 / Holland 2015 ) thanks.

District 2018 Youth Day 26th January 2014

 

11:00 to 16:30 (timing to be confirmed)

Calling all 12 to 25 year old's. We will share the future vision for Scouting up to 2018. We want to hear your thoughts on where Scouting in South Derbyshire should be heading.

Other aims: discuss how to run a District Youth Council and talk about launching Networks.

You MUST book into this event. It will not be possible to turn up on the day, without confirming you are attending
